West Coast of Scotland Women’s Adventure

  • This is a Women only Sea Kayaking Adventure! Setting off from beautiful Arisaig.

    The coastline in the Arisaig and Arnamurchan area provides a classic West Coast of Scotland trip. With white sandy beaches stretching north to Mallaig, sea lochs to the south and the small isles to the west there are lots of options for more or less shelter.

    This is a 7 day intermediate sea kayaking and camping trip for those with paddling experience who may or may not have yet camped from their kayak before.

    This is a great opportunity to have fun exploring and immersing yourself in nature whilst enjoying some good all female company.

Shetland

  • With its stunning coastline of pristine waters, caves and stacks Shetland offers a lifetime of coastline to explore. Shetland offers incredible geology, wildlife and history.

    This is an 8 day intermediate to advanced sea kayaking trip for those with significant paddling experience. We will day trip from a base camp with the possibility of nights camping out from our kayaks.

    There are 6 places on this trip. Guides will be Micro Goldhausenof Sea Kayaking Angelsey and myself, Jackie Jones.

  • £990 including 8 days guided paddling in Shetland

    6 places

    We can provide you with a sea kayak, paddle, PFD and spray deck if needed. 

    Not included: Camping kit, food, accomodation, transport.

    Suggested transport is the Aberdeen to Lerwick ferry (see dates section) and car transport on Shetland. Car sharing within the group is recommended for both the ferry crossing and island transport. If you need to travel by air or rail feel free to get in touch.

  • Shetland 20th - 28th May 2026.

    Meet on the 17:00 Aberdeen-Lerwick Northlink ferry on the 19th May or alternatively meet in Lerwick at 7:30am on 20th May.

    Please note: if you want to secure a cabin on the ferry please book now, if you want to secure a car please book soon. Northlink ferries offer a very flexible cancellation policy so if car share opportunities arise you can adjust your booking.

  • Please use this section as a guide

    You are:

    • comfortable in winds of F4-5 and adept at assisted rescues.

    • have experience of multi day camping trips from a kayak and paddling a loaded boat

    • ideally you can self-rescue. A reliable roll is not a necessity.

    • you have an awareness of others in a paddling group and enjoy working together as a team

    • you have paddled or taken a course with Jackie Jones or Mirco Goldhausen. (this can be arranged prior to the trip.)
