"I have paddled with a significant number of group leaders over the years, but Jacqui stands out as excellent.  She was careful to get the group to understand upfront what she wanted in the way of signals, communications and group coherence.  This last aspect is very often ignored by leaders, who then have a group spreading far and wide on the water, with difficult communications as a result.  She kept her verbal "control" on the water to the minimum, but it was always "on the point".  Also, she clearly has the experience to direct the group only in what matters, and not overload them with anything that doesn't matter (which is commonly not the case in my experience).  I could tell she is the "real deal" at the end of the trip because the group worked well, without being asked, to get the kayaks and paddlers out at Porthleven up the harbour steps.  I would happily paddle with her again.  Ben too played his usual excellent role of supporting leader."
